This research project, in collaboration with the Australian Engineered Fasteners and Anchors Council (AEFAC), will investigate the use of advanced fastening systems in safety-critical applications. The research will also explore solutions to challenges identified through the use of (e.g.) nonlinear numerical modelling and statistical analysis of experimental results derived from this project.
Eligibility: The successful applicant must possess either a Bachelor with First or Upper Second class Honours, or a Master by Research Degree, and have strong competencies in finite element analysis, concrete material and fracture mechanics.
